Garmin has changed the slogan on opencaching.com. Today it says, in German:
Bald auch unter einem Baumstumpf in deiner Nähe:
Kostenlos, offen, in deiner Sprache!
According to Google this translates as:
Soon, under a tree stump near you:
Free, open, in your language!
I think I’ll ask the folks at opencaching.de if they think this a positive development or a challenge to their site.

I think it is a challenge. opencaching.de ist using OC-Waypointcodes, Garmin also. This means: Garmin ignores over 30 thousand existing unique(!) waypoints. This ist no positive developement.
@Schrottie I don’t quite follow what you mean. What is Garmin doing that makes it so they ignore 30,000 waypoints?
Opencaching.de use for more than 8 years OC codes. And here’s Garmin, set up a new service and does OC code as its own. And Garmin knows that opencaching.de plus OC codes exist. That’s pretty poor form.
@Shrottie Are you saying that opencaching.com is using the same ID numbering system as opencaching.de? By using the same IDs does this mean that a cache on opencaching.de could have the same ID as opencaching.com? You know this for a fact?
That was seen, as opencaching.com was short online. Same ID system as opencaching.de. But wait. Still opencaching.com’s not active.
Breaking news: Garmin has changed from OC-IDs to OX-IDs.
