If you live in an urban area chances are you are going to be looking for micro caches at some point. This is a size cache container that is gaining in popularity even in more remote areas where there is lots of room for larger caches.
I’m making a concerted effort to create larger caches but from time-to-time I get the idea for a smaller cache. In some caches it’s a neat container that gives me inspiration. That was the case with my For Whom The Bell Tolls cache. This cache needed the right kind of location to make it work.
I am very pleased with the results of the camouflage for this cache. It seems many finders are also happy with the cache. Here’s a couple of comments form the logs:
“Great hunt! This is what caching is about!”
“Nice hide – very creative”
“Loved the hiding spot!”
If you are going to hide a micro cache do it creatively. Make the hunt fun. I suppose it doesn’t matter what size the container is we should always strive to make it a fun search.

Good reminder. A creative micro is a joy to find. We need more micros placed because it’s something unique/fun/clever rather then because it cost nothing to place and it ups the numbers.
As a father I’ve learned not to take my kids geocaching if the micro to regular quotient is too high. They enjoy finding the treasures, they haven’t quite gravitated to the idea that they hunt is what makes it fun. I still enjoy a well executed cache, regardless of the size.
