Geowoodstock VIII T-2 days

Author: teamvoyagr

This is going to be a bit of a whirlwind trip to Geowoodstock VIII. I’m not sure if I’ll be posting pictures from the event via blackberry but probably.

We do plan to do the following:

  1. Mt. St. Helens – July 2
  2. Geowoodstock Day – July 3
  3. Lost and Found HQ Event – July 4
  4. Ape Cache – July 4
  5. Original Stash – July 5
  6. Back to BC – July 6

Let me know if you are going to be there.   I’m also hoping to talk to the folks from  The Caching Place and  The Cache Zone.

New – Garmin GPSMAP 62st

Author: teamvoyagr

Garmin GPSMAP 62

A few months ago Garmin surprised many when it discontinued the relatively new Colorado line of handheld GPS units.  I was certainly surprised have only recently upgrading.  I discovered a couple of days ago that Garmin will be releasing the GPSMAP 62 series by the end of July.  From where I sit this is the unit Garmin should have released instead of the Colorado.  The GPSMAP 60 series had the right form factor all it needed was upgraded software.   In the GPSMAP 62 series the form factor is back with upgraded software and some upgraded internals. I can’t wait to see if this is a better unit than my Colorado 300.
